This church dates from the 11th century. To keep its vault from collapsing, its builders constructed low, vaulted side walls in a quarter-circle. In the 11th century, the technique of buttressing was not yet known. The church, which was set to be demolished, was made a historical monument in 1897 thanks to the efforts of Gabriel Bulliot, an Autun archaeologist. Inside the church, a magnificent Roman fresco has recently been restored.
Open every day – free admission.
